Example: If a card is played from facedown, it gains the restriction that it can only target game objects at the battlefield it was played from unless its targeting is restricted in such a way that choosing a unit at that battlefield is impossible. If a player makes new choices for such a card, they must still choose from among objects at that battlefield. > |
|
| 754. |
If, as a result of new choices, the chain item targets a Game Object, even if it previously targeted the same Game Object, any Targeting Effects of that Game Object will trigger as appropriate. > |
| 755. |
Any costs “to play” the chain item that are incurred as a result of new choices made in this way are ignored. > |
| 755.1. |
The chain item is already played and its costs paid. Any further costs incurred have no effect on the finalized chain item. > |
| 756. |
Untargetability > |
| 757. |
Some Game Effects declare that a Game Object can’t be chosen by a certain set of spells and abilities. Those effects designate the Game Object as Untargetable. > |
| 757.1. |
These passive abilities will usually take the form “[Game Object] can’t be chosen by [Category] spells and abilities.” > |
